Did a touch up not long ago on a project I did few years back during school time. It is based on Japanese folklore about the rabbit on the moon. I imagine that they will come down to Earth once a year to sell their famous moachi. And travel with their signature hot airbaloon ship

Some rough sketches I did during the workshop, I learnt that I have to explore more freely on shapes and proportion since that I am always stuck in a similar or not so different thumbs.
1st attempt going for a more animated approach.
2nd attempt, did some tight rendering on the guy but I don't really quite like him.
3rd attempt, I wanted to do a heroine that is inspired by Princess Mononoke.
Rendered version of the Kid, following some tips from Arthur Fong. I try to minimize the amount of highlight and rim light which always make my character looks glossy and spotty.
Here is the updated rendered version of the villain, the Thorny Tiger.. Working out the bones on his body. And experiment painting with some texture brush.
Doing sets and interior has always been my passion lately. I am having a lot of fun with this one despite a very short deadline. I imagine the hero's clan was wiped out during the incident that he has to create his home on a tree top. The materials of the house he gather and build himself. He still keep all the memento of his clan around to remind him who they were.
Trying out some color composition on the set. I kind of like the atmosphere and the mood of the afternoon sunset.
Another tryout on a morning color composition. Coloring a set is not an easy task for a beginner like me.. A BIG thanks to my friend freakyfir a.k.a Muhammad Firdaus for guiding me with tons of tips and suggestions to pull through.

Character I did for fun. After my last day of work at Nubee, I had a lot more free time to do my personal stuff. I will take this opportunity to have a good break and enrich my skill while looking new job. I can't wait to see and start on a new adventure ahead.

Did some painting study based on an image I found on Google map. Painting realistic stuff has always been my weaknesses. Trying to play around with some custom brushes too to get the texture out.
I wish I could absorb and extract more knowledge after doing these kind of practices.

After browsing through my reference folders I found some vintage shop images that jogged my mind that I came out with this TV shop house. I tried to put a tiny bit fantasy touch to it with warm and vibrant colours choice. When I drew this, I imagined an old grandpa sitting by the cashier chair drowned in the newspaper he read. I might want to draw the interior of this house next.

I was so inspired and driven by the current FZD students works. (http://fengzhudesign.blogspot.sg/2013/05/nice-line-work.html) Amazed at how powerful line drawing can be. So I told myself to go back to the core fundamental and start again from scratch. Thinking about the process, it might seem boring and tedious, but surprisingly I ended up enjoying it and learnt that I love to draw so much.
Its been a long while since I played an RPG game. Since young I've been admiring the environment artists behind every games. To sketch and conceptualize every single screen and map. I want to be like them.
This time round I attempted to create an interior of a potion shop in a fantasy setting. Of course it is far from perfect. I need to do more of these in the future to understand more about environment.

Inspired by an old PS one game (Tales of Eternia) I played long time ago, I attempt to redesign one of their very significant city of Joy, Jinny. Taking the idea of how lively the city at night, I initiate to use Lampion/Lamps as the main IP of the buildings. Each building is gaining and saving energy from the sun during the daylight and use the power to light up at night.
Did some exploration sketches and variations for fun. I missed playing PS one RPG games so bad.
